Jen is always connected—she holds the record for the number of text messages sent in a day! Still, when it comes to being popular, she’s not always sure where to draw the line. Her biggest frustration is dealing with overprotective parents.

Mateo dances his way through life, earbuds always plugged in. Mateo gets along well with his family—he’s proud that his little brother and sister look up to him. Overall, Mateo’s a pretty happy-go-lucky guy—just don’t call him El Shrimpo!

Jack is into sports and having fun with friends. Kind of the strong, silent type, Jack’s not always comfortable discussing what’s on his mind. Another struggle in his life? Dealing with his little sister, a small person who can create big problems.

Abby is just the kind of girl you’d want for a friend. Sometimes, though, Abby’s so much of a people pleaser she doesn’t stand up for herself. She also doesn’t always feel so great about how she looks, mostly because she struggles with her weight. |

Chris is into skating and making people laugh. Now, if only school didn’t take up so much of his time. Most of the time Chris is a pretty mellow guy, but settling into a new stepfamily, he sometimes lets his emotions get the better of him.
