Deb Delisle is the Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education for the United States Department of Education. Deb has been an educator for more than thirty-five years, and has served as Ohio’s State Superintendent of Education, a school superintendent, a curriculum director, an elementary principal, a teacher of primary and middle school kids, and a K–12 gifted coordinator. She is coauthor of Building Strong Writers in Middle School and Growing Good Kids and author of numerous articles on gifted child education and reform-based education.
Deb and her husband Jim live in Washington, D.C.
