Joy Lawson Davis, Ed.D., has over 40 years of experience in equity, gifted education, and cultural competency education. She is author of award-winning Bright, Talented & Black and co-editor of Gifted Children of Color Around the World. Along with leading professional learning workshops across the nation and the world, Dr. Davis is also co-founder of the Jenkins Scholars program, a national program developed to recognize highly gifted Black students. She lives near Richmond, VA.
